Course Overview

Certified Scrum Product Owner® (CSPO) professionals have learned the Scrum terminology, practices, and principles that allow them to perform the role of Product Owner on a Scrum team. CSPOs are usually the people who are most in touch with the "business side" of the project. The course teaches on the set of concepts and practices that need to be learned by anyone who is attending a CSPO course. It outlines the knowledge and awareness that participants will leave theCSPO course having been introduced to.

The first step towards your CSPO is getting to know Scrum. We've put together a list of resources that will allow you to envision how Scrum changes the world of work.
Finally complete an in-class, two-day (16 hour) CSPO course instructed by a Certified Scrum Trainer (CST) or Endorsed Scrum Trainer (EST). You qualify for 16 Scrum Education Units (SEUs) once you successfully pass this course.

1. Who oversees the certification and testing process?
Scrum Alliance, Inc. is the certifying body. CSPO® testing is managed and certification issued by Scrum Alliance, Inc. It should be noted and understood that the CSPO® oversees certification.

2. What is agile?
Agile is an approach based on a philosophy that employs organizational patterns founded on people, collaboration, and
shared values. The Agile Manifesto states principles of agile philosophy. Agile employs rolling
wave planning; iterative and incremental delivery; quick and adaptable response to change;
and open communication among teams, stakeholders, and customers. There are numerous agile
methodologies that follow these principles, including Scrum, XP, Lean and Test-driven Development (TDD).
